The Picos de Europa National Park is the second most important national park in terms of visitors received. It is largely made up of three large mountain massifs, which take in three regions: Asturias, Cantabria and Castilla-León. Some of its most popular spots include the Enol and Ercina lakes, also known as the Covadonga Lakes.
Moreover, it offers various hiking routes, such as the El Cares route. The highest mountain peaks are not far from the coast, bathed by the southern waters of the Bay of Biscay; therefore you can combine days of mountain landscapes with spectacular beaches concealed between the cliffs.
