Region located in the province of Jaén, bordering the provinces of Granada and Albacete. Within the Natural Park of Sierras de Cazorla, Segura and Las Villas. The mountain is crossed by major rivers such as the Segura river, with source in this region, and the Guadalquivir, which enters this natural area a few miles from his source, leaving behind its water in the reservoir of Tranco de Beas, right in the center of the reserve. The landscape changes from the large olive groves and valleys to dense forests in its mountainous areas.
