Established in 2004, the Alta Murgia National Park is a protected natural area between the provinces of Bari and Barletta Andria Trani. The vegetation of the park is characterized by rocky grasslands and forests that give shelter to the wild flowering and to a rich fauna, mainly small in size. Some of the points of interest are the Gravine, particular conformations of karst rock, and various architectures scattered around the grounds. Last but not least, the presence of Castel del Monte, one of the most famous castles in the world.
