The protected area of the Guadiana Valley Natural Park is located in the southeastern part of Portugal, in the region of Baixo Alentejo. It covers the counties of Mértola and Serpa , in the district of Beja. The Pulo do Lobo is one of the main points of interest in this area, for its geological notoriety, with a drop of water between spectacular rock formations. Its fauna and flora are considered of great importance.
Also noteworthy is the Mine of S. Domingos, which was the largest mine of pyrite in the Iberian Peninsula, and the River Beach of Tapada Grande, where you can relax, eat and go swimming.
