The accommodation

Very bright housing kissed by the sun for the all day, furnished and fully equipped, having the access at 1st and last floor where there is a wide living room with beds (a single bed plus a sofa bed), a large kitchen well furnished, windowed bathroom with shower. These rooms overlook a long and large balcony with a view on the sea. From the living room it is possible, through a spiral staircase, to reach a large “ancient-charm” room with a king size bed at the 2nd floor with an “en suite” bath room. This bed room overlooks a very large terrace with a wonderful view of the sea and the mountains, ranging for 360 degree azimuth, throughout the entire horizon, on one side over the entire Gulf of Naples, from the Vesuvius to Ischia island, and on the other side over Monte Faito mountain and over the high hills of Montecomune until you can see the top of Capri island.
The house guests can use free of charge a car parking in a private area nearby (at about 50 meters from the house).

Setting

The housing is located among the green panoramic hills of Vico Equense in the quiet and pleasant Ticciano village placed over two valleys between the Gulf of Naples and the Monte Faito mountain, within a healthy and relaxing environment. The place boasts the proximity of Sorrento (20 minute drive), Positano (30 min), Pompei (Archaeological Park) (30 min), Naples (50 min); it is also simple to reach the Vico Equense city center through the Raffaele Bosco state road, by means of a public transport system, Circumvesuviana bus, which crosses all the villages of the municipality until the Vico Equense station where the fast Circumvesuviana train passes through and brings the passengers toward the towns of Sorrento peninsula, at one side, and to the towns of Vesuvio area, such as Pompei, Torre Annunziata, Torre del Greco, Ercolano, at the other side, until Naples main railway station.

Activities and attractions

In the village, at a few minutes’ walk, there is the pretty small church of San Michele Arcangelo. On the church courtyard there is a very old stone cross which reminds the ancient greek-roman origin of the village itself. Not far from Ticciano, at about 10 minute drive, there is the typical small village of Santa Maria del Castello from where it is possible to admire part of the Gulf of Salerno, particularly Positano. At the house neighbors, at about 100 meters walk, there is the “Laqua Countryside” resort with the annexed restaurant of the many Michelin stars-winning chef Antonino Cannavacciuolo. At a few kilometers there are also other restaurants which offer home delivery service or free transport service to and from the restaurant. The location is prone to pleasant walking tours, always through the deep green Mediterranean vegetation.
