The accommodation

It is a completely renovated accommodation in May 2023. All the furnishings, kitchen equipment and bathroom fixtures are new and perfectly usable. The environment is equipped with a living area with kitchen equipped with an induction hob with four cooking plates, a microwave also for steam cooking, a large refrigerator, a washing machine in addition to the various appliances of normal use such as a kettle, a American coffee, a large moka, a toaster. In the living area equipped with a table with 4 chairs, a television and an efficient wifi there is also a sofa which, when opened, allows a comfortable rest for two other people. The bathroom has a sink, toilet, bidet and a modern shower with screen-printed crystal closure. The terrace with a view inside the "Torres del Castillo" building complex with a large swimming pool is exposed to the South West and allows meals to be consumed as it is equipped with a table with 4 chairs.

Setting

The accommodation is located within the urbanized complex of Nuevo Horizonte 7 kilometers from the Puerto del Rosario airport on the east coast approximately in the middle of the island. From the airport by hiring a car that is highly recommended and booked in advance from your country so as not to waste time at the airport (prices range from 170 euros and up complete with total insurance so dividing it into 4 I then covered 750 km with 48 euros of total petrol) proceed in the direction of Morro Jable (It is not possible to go wrong as the FV2 state road is the only one that connects the North to the South). After about 5 km, after passing the commercial area on the left where various supermarkets such as Lidl and Mercadona are located, after about 1 km you arrive at the roundabout for Costa D'Antigua, turning left and continuing along the tree-lined avenue that leads right in front of the complex " Torres del Castillo where it is possible to park the car.The complex on the sides of the main entrance has two clubs/brewery/pub where they play live music in the evening and a small minimarket.To access there is only one key which will be given to you at the arrival. The number of the apartment will be indicated to you upon your arrival and you will be given two keys in order to make you independent in case you are two couples. The ocean is about 250 meters away and through a path right next to the ocean, you can hear the drops of the waves crashing against the rocks and immersed in a beautiful lunar landscape, in 20/30 minutes on foot you can reach "Calete de Fuste".It is possible to get there not only by car, but also on foot along a straight stretch of flat and sandy path that I call desert .. but it is safe because it is always in sight of the main road and the building complexes and is regularly traveled by the "locals" who go to the market faster than along the scenic but longer road of the Ocean, Caleta de Fusteé a locality much appreciated by tourists from all over the world for its beach, for all kinds of commercial, recreational and restaurant venues. In the port it is possible to rent anything from boats to jet skis, it is possible to plan catamaran tours and more. In the evening this place lights up and provides a wide choice for your entertainment from live shows to music to dance A little further on is the "Atlantico" shopping center where you can find everything from food to clothes. Along the pedestrian street to the north you will find the beautiful beach called playa blanca, a must see!.

Activities and attractions

The position of the accommodation in the middle of the island which is about 135 km long and 35 wide favors fast travel to the North where the city of Corrajelo is located, famous for the naturalistic park of the dunes (remember that the Western Sahara desert is 70 km.) and constitutes a real pleasure for lovers of water sports with sailing due to the breeze that comes from Northern Europe. Do not miss the spectacular "Pop Corn" beach for..... I'm not telling you, the discovery is up to you. Here, too, there is no shortage of very popular shops and restaurants. Going south towards Morro Jable instead, after about 1 hour by car amidst sensational landscapes with a road (La FV2) which they call the motorway but which does not pay tolls, is not busy and has no potholes, you arrive in this lovely town famous for its very wide beaches with clear sand. The lighthouse is famous and the restaurant nearby is excellent, right on the ocean. This locality is an excellent starting point for an excursion to the lighthouse of Jandia, (20Km) extreme southern tip and to Cofete, a village rich in history/legend and a superlative beach. (The car you rent is forbidden to reach the lighthouse of Jandia and Cofete because they are dirt roads and not covered by insurance, it is better to get on the bus which runs 2 times outward and two back). Leaving the North and the South to which it is advisable to dedicate at least one full day each, I would recommend the West coast and in particular the town of AYUJ, a guaranteed destination for the beauty of its coasts, for the path inside the cliff overlooking the ocean and for the caves... as well as for the small taverns where you can taste fresh fish. Betancuria should also be visited, the old capital of all the Canary Islands with its giant statues and buildings dating back to the 1500s, from whose central square you can enjoy a panorama... infinite. Much and even more would be to tell but the adventure belongs to those who accept it and here it is as a rule, it is an island that you either love or hate. Here you will have the opportunity to make new discoveries and experience first-hand how life is different a few hours away from your residence and life is better without stress!.
