The accommodation

The house is located in the Jata mountains, surrrounded by nature with amazing views of the valley. The property has a private garden with outside seating. We highly recommend both sunrises and sunsets, the panoramic is just beautiful. Easily accesible from the airport, you are only 15 minutes away from the stunning San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, and 10 minutes from the beach.

The location is an independent apartment at the bottom floor in our family house (ground floor). Fully equipped with all ammenities for our convenience, it is perfect for small families looking for time away.

- Living room with fireplace equipped with wifi (fibre optic), board games, DVD with films and stereo, access to the garden and beautiful mountain views.

Outside seating
The garden has outside seating.
In the warmer months, you can sit outside in the garden and enjoy the stunning views of the valley.
We can recommend both sunsets and sunrises as they are a wonder worth seeing.

Activities and attractions

Surfing-beaches
The property is only a short drive away from beautiful touristic locations, such as Mundaka, Bakio, Armintza and the famous San Juan de Gaztelugatxe.
For those with children, we recommend the beautiful beaches of Plentzia and Gorliz. For those looking for the perfect “left”, head down to Mundaka or the stunning coastline of Sopelana, with its trendy bars and perfect surfer's hangout.

Mountains
Mountaineering is a serious thing in the Basque Country, so for those looking for opportunities to explore the mountains, this is your place.
There are routes directly communicated from the house to the Jata mountain, perfect for walks or mountain biking.
Also, within a short drive, you will find yourself in the beautiful Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve, or the Urkiola Natural park.

Maruri-Jatabe
The peaceful small town has a public swimming pool that is perfect for families, as well as plenty of local amenities.
There are also supermarkets and shops in town.
