The accommodation

The detached house, located in the ancient village of Castro behind the ancient castle walls, is ideal for a comfortable and relaxing stay in Salento. Completely renovated and furnished in 2018.Close to Otranto and Santa Maria di Leuca, which can be reached along one of the most beautiful coastal roads in Italy. There are two spacious double bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite bathroom and ante-bathroom, a second bathroom which has a large ante-bathroom with washbasin and washing machine, and a comfortable and bright living-dining area and kitchen. In addition, there is a garden with a second outdoor kitchen, a small vegetable garden, with a direct view of the castle walls, and a terrace with a view of the old town and the surrounding greenhouses. The house is located close to the beautiful belvedere and the panoramic footpath around the ancient village. It is close to all the most important services (restaurants, pizzerias, cafes, supermarkets, pharmacy, etc.) and to the seaside village, which can be reached on foot in a few minutes by descending a flight of steps with incredible views of the southern Salento coastline as far as S.M. di Leuca.

The accommodation is located at the entrance to the historical centre and has no accessibility problems.

In addition to the beautiful sea, in summer Castro is the venue for numerous festivals, shows and events that brighten the stay of holidaymakers and residents. Popular festivals, shows and events of various kinds are held in the numerous neighbouring villages, some of them of great importance and spectacularity.
