The accommodation

This is a house 3 km from Arenas de Cabrales in full Picos de Europa with two bedrooms, one double and one triple. Two complete bathrooms, living room with fireplace, kitchen-dining room, and a perfectly flat meadow with children's games and grill-barbecue with garden furniture and parking area.

Setting

The house is easily reached by a local road from Arenas de Cabrales to Arangas de Cabrales. It is a single house but within walking distance there are other buildings. It is located in a very singular place with a nearby river and mountains and forests that surround the environment. Shopping and services are all in Arenas de Cabrales where there are all types of bars and restaurants with traditional food and produce from the land.

Activities and attractions

We are in Picos de Europa and the main attraction are the mountains. Just 6 km away is Poncebos which is the northern entrance par excellence to this mountain range. If you take the road to the left you can climb to Sotres, a beautiful mountain village that is sometimes isolated by snow in winter. In the center is the station and box office of the funicular that climbs the emblematic village of Bulnes starting point for climbers who dare with the Naranjo, the great moles object of so many sporting feats. To the left, always in Poncebos, starts the well-known Senda del Cares which after 11 km. through amazing landscapes ends in the village of Cain in Leon. This does not include the beaches of San Vicente de la Barquera or Llanes which are no more than 30 minutes by car to the north.
