The accommodation

The residence is located in Volterra in a characteristic and typical Tuscan villa from the 1800s entirely restored, leaving the ancient structure unchanged such as the terracotta floors and the ceilings with wooden beams.The villa, which today houses magnificent rooms, was born as a country residence of the noble Leonori family. A small mausoleum in the charming 1700s church, still consecrated and adjacent to the villa, testifies to its origins.
The villa is located on a small hill from where you can admire the unique and evocative view of the Tuscan countryside with the bell towers and towers of Volterra on the horizon, while comfortably relaxing on the sun loungers at the edge of the large swimming pool (14 x 7 metres) . In front of the villa you will find at your complete disposal, the gravel terrace, the large garden-olive grove and the gazebo where you can sit and enjoy the splendid view while tasting a good wine or savoring the products of Tuscan cuisine.Quiet and original location in an ancient and very small country village, in the center of a farm producing olive oil and jams.

Ground floor: entrance, dining room, large rustic style kitchen (oven, small microwave, small electric oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine) with large fireplace and table, small pantry, lounge with comfortable sofas with private bathroom with shower (window), bathroom with shower.
First floor: corridor with small balcony, five double bedrooms, four of which with private internal bathroom and one with private external bathroom, each room has a glass shower cubicle and air conditioning.
Second floor: five double bedrooms, four of which with private internal bathroom and one external bathroom, all bathrooms are equipped with glass shower cubicles. The rooms on the second floor are all equipped with air conditioning. The villa is located in a strategic position to visit the most evocative places in Tuscany, such as San Gimignano, Siena, Pisa, Florence and the coast, easily reachable by car.

The villa is located a few kilometers from Lajatico, birthplace of Andrea Bocelli and from the Teatro del Silenzio, a place surrounded by nature that hosts the concert of the Tuscan tenor, known throughout the world, every year. Furthermore, the villa is located a few kilometers from Volterra, which is the ancient city known among many other things for having been the main location of the fiction "I Medici 2" and "I Medici 3".
From Pisa airport (about 60 km):

Take the 'Strada di grande comunicazione' FI-PI-LI in the direction of Florence until the 'Pontedera - Ponsacco' exit and follow the signs for Volterra. Proximity 'Molino d'Era' (10 Km from Volterra) follow signs for Colle Val d'Elsa (keep main road: SS. 439 DIR) and cross the Era river. At Km. 11 follow the private road on the left (dirt road).

From Bologna, Florence and Siena:

A1 - Firenze-Certosa exit (for those coming from Bologna) Motorway junction Florence-Siena (4 lanes) exit Colle Val d'Elsa-Volterra, follow signs for Volterra (SS. 68) About 2 km from Volterra (shortly after the sign for Mazzolla on the left) turn right for Pisa-Pontedera. Keep to the main road (SS.439 DIR) for approximately 5 km. Go past the industrial area (on the right) and the Era river. At the Km. 11 kilometer sign, follow the private road on the right (dirt road).

Upon request it is possible to follow Yoga lessons, horseback riding lessons with the possibility of going on excursions. Furthermore, upon request it is possible to participate in the cooking school and tastings.

For lunch and dinner my restaurant "Cantina Vecchia" is open (near the villa) where reservations will be necessary.

We also have a special agreement with "Maneggio Area 52" (horseback riding and horseback riding excursions), which is only 1 km from the villa.
