The accommodation

River View Cottage is located at the highest point of our hilly estate rising above the left bank of the River Douro. The magnificent views from the balcony will take your breath away! The 200 year old stone cottage has recently been refurbished with all the modern amenities necessary for your comfort. The cottage sits within a fully operational wine & fruit farm offering a first hand view into a local farming operation while enabling rest & relaxation.

Setting

Should you not have your own car, taxis can be booked by phone. Local buses (infrequent) run from the top of the hill near the cafe. Schedules can be found on the internet (transdev company). The nearest train station is at Peso da Regua and the nearest airport is in Porto

Activities and attractions

Here at Quinta de Fundo de Vila we produce our own red wine (TERRUS), olive oil and many fruits. Please feel free to explore the farm and public paths. Towards the south the very small road takes you to the Romanesque XII century church, local hamlets and the main road. Down the hill (west) takes you to the river and riverside road to Régua. Up the hill (east) takes to you the main road.
