This charming cottage, built in 1927, is conveniently located in heart of the cultural town of El Escorial, about 40kms to the northwest of Madrid's center. It is the perfect accommodation from which to explore its historical Palace/Monastery, founded by King Felipe II in the 16th century
This bright and spacious cottage, newly decorated to a high standard, provides a cozy home for a relaxing holiday both in summer and winter. The property provides sleep for up to 6 people and it consists of 3 comfortable bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, large living room with fireplace and beautiful mature garden.
Setting
This lovely town provides excellent traditional restaurants and the beautiful surroundings offer a plethora of sporting activities: golf, tennis, jogging, climbing, biking and ...skying!
The monastery and town of El Escorial has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1984; its architectonic wonder is considered by many “The Eighth Marvel”.

charming and well located
Villa Carmen is a charming old house very well located in San Lorenzo de El Escorial. We were three couples and enjoyed our three bedrooms with cosy country style decoration and three bathrooms thoroughly. All the important equipment one needs for a relaxing holiday is available, including a well functioning central heating and fireplace. The house is well maintained and the owner Myriam is very friendly. The garden is not very large, but just perfect to sit outside and enjoy the quiet location and the sun. I would repeat any time!
Wonderful & Charming
We've really enjoyed the Villa Tia Carmen. The house is really cute and filled with charm. It's also very clean and well kept. The dueña, Myriam, is extremely nice and helpful. She met us with fresh fruit, milk, and a traditional Spanish Christmas bread. She helped make sure everything was working. Another great thing is San Lorenzo's location. It's in a picturesque spot, with the huge Escorial monastery. But it's also ideally situated for visiting Madrid, Segovia, Avila, Toledo, or many of the places in central Spain. You won't regret staying here.
