The accommodation

This 2nd floor studio in our Tuscany countryside accommodation storehouse, which benefits from the best views of Chiana Valley and Cortona. There is a living area and fully equipped kitchen and one double bedroom with an in-suite bathroom. The suite in our farmhouse on rent is fully furnished in an authentic Tuscan style. It has Wi.Fi internet access, TV flat screen 32 inches, DVD player, central air conditioning and heating, hair dryer, American and Italian coffee maker, toaster, microwave, high quality silver ware plates and dishes.

Setting

Villa La Mucchia is located in the Tuscany region in the best location for day trips and short excursions for short drives. The villa in Cortona is situated at the foot of the hills around the Cortonese Valley, called Valdichiana. Cortona, is an ancient Etruscan town, founded about three thousands years ago (before Rome was established). Villa La Mucchia, being one of the most luxurious villas to rent in Tuscany, is located in the countryside among sunflowers fields and is very close to 71 Country road, linking the area to major urban centers, as well as to Florence – Rome Railway and to the highway “Autostrada del Sole “ ( A1) and the Perugia – Siena Freeway.

How to reach us:

By Car: traveling by car from the North, or South take the A1 Firenze – Roma highway (autostrada), exit at Valdichiana.(About 170 km from Rome and 80 km from Firenze) Follow the blue signs for Perugia and take the fastway (superstrada) exit at Cortona (do not exit at first sign to Cortona-Foiano) – follow directions to Cortona for 3 km till you see the first round about, take the first exit. Continue on this road, After 2 km you will see a new round about, take the second exit to Mucchia, follow this road for 0.3 km. till you will get to the villa on your right hand side, (the second building).
By Train: the nearest station is Camucia o Terontola di Cortona; From the station you reach us by local taxi which will take you to us in few minutes drive. We can provide taxi phone numbers.
