The accommodation

La Era de Somao is a house built in the late 18th century, restored in 2009 with great care, respecting the style and original materials that, in turn, combined with a modern touch, makes our visitors enjoy a pleasant stay.
The house has three double bedrooms, kitchen with all appliances, dining room, lounge, bathroom, Wi-Fi, HD TV, with Digital Plus Total y Canal Plus Liga. We also have cot and highchair for your baby. It has a large garden, fully enclosed, equipped with barbecue and furniture, allowing you to enjoy the good weather. From the house you can see beautiful views of the sea and mountains.

Setting

Somao or Somado is a parish council of Pravia (Asturias), with a population of 330 inhabitants. It is located in the northern part of the municipality, 11 km from the capital, Pravia. The parish bounded on the north with Muros de Nalón; east and south with the parish of Santianes; southwest with Villafría; and west with Cudillero.

It is worth noting the density of Indians buildings. The architecture changed radically in 1900 when the rural look is complemented by the Indians mansions financed with fortunes made in Cuba; La Torre, El Palacete de Solís or Marciel and Noceu, examples of buildings that respond to colonial and modernist styles combine the high quality building with imagination and styling resources.

Recreational area La Peñona: located in the same village of Somao, it has beautiful views of the councils of Cudillero and Muros del Nalón , the Cantabrian and the mouth of Nalón river. There are tables and grills available for use by visitors.

The viewpoint of Monteagudo: it is located in an environment surrounded by a lush pine forest, where a beautiful view of the mouth of the Nalón river in the sea extends, bordered by the towns of San Esteban de Pravia, San Juan de la Arena and the island of Deva. It has a recreation area, may be considered the balcony of the lowest Nalón.
