The DOWNTOWN DUPLEX is centrally located for discovering the best of Lisbon: walking distance to Avenida da Liberdade, Rossio Square, Bairro Alto and Baixa-Chiado. Discover panoramic (and romantic) vistas from other neighborhoods including Alfama, Santa Catarina, Príncipe Real and Graça. Restaurants and cafés just outside your front door. Close to public transport, the Rossio train station and airport. Easily accessible by car, with a parking garage just minutes away. The apartment is modern, full of light and well equipped.Ideal for both tourists and business travellers.

Setting

You can start your day at Fábrica Coffee Roasters just outside the front door. They roast their own coffee and also have an excellent offering of croissants, sandwiches and cakes. Experience more local flavors at Leitaria Anunciada across the street or sip some bubbly at Champanheria Do Largo on the opposite corner. One of Lisbon’s most famous restaurants, Solar Dos Presuntos, is just steps away. You’ll find plenty of dining options within walking distance as you explore the city. Be sure to make at least one visit — although you will keep going back — to Manteigaria for the best pasteis de nata in Lisbon. It would be a sin to visit Lisbon and miss this — and we recommend an espresso or local chocolate beverage, UCal, on the side.

The apartment is located adjacent to Avenida da Liberdade, Lisbon’s luxury shopping district. This is a beautiful avenue to stroll in any season and be sure to stop at one of the local quiosques for a light meal. Several grocery stores are located within a 10-minute walk of the apartment for supplies. You are also a short walk away from Rossio Station (day trip to Sintra) or Praça da Figueira (Tram 15 to Belem). The key tourist attractions in the historic center all within walking distance. Restauradores is the closest metro station that will connect you to many other parts of the city, including the airport.

Activities and attractions

Lisbon, the dazzling city that stretches along the banks of the Tagus River to the Atlantic Ocean, is the Portuguese capital since 1255, making it the second oldest capital of Europe. The charm of this city of seven hills lies within the strong links from the past: the restored palaces, majestic churches and the imposing castle perched atop one of the hills reflect the rich cultural heritage of Lisbon. Allow yourself to get lost in the small side streets, venture to the impressive lookouts (miradouras in Portuguese) and indulge in culinary delights.
