Apartment in beachfront

This apartment is perfectly located for everything anyone could ask for. It is around €30 taxi fare from the airport (3 people plus large hold luggage each) and a 15-20 min drive. There is a local Condis supermarket 1 minute walk that has everything including freshly prepared dishes plus there are patisseries, butchers, restaurants, etc all within 5 minutes. The beach bar 50 metres away sells nice food including breakfast. For the safety conscious, there is a lifeguard point directly in front on the beach which stretches 5km and is one of the nicest beaches I have been to. We saw a football team running along the beach one morning and we imagined it was FCB though we can't be sure! There are a few people selling beachwear, beach massages etc, but you are certainly not bombarded. The sea is lovely and mostly calm and the beach feels safe. Paddle boarding and surfing can be done 100 metres away. We didn't use the pool at all, but it looked fine and was cleaned daily as was the general pool area. There are 3 buses going to into central Barcelona and the trip is around 40 mins costing a flat fare of €2.15. The bus stop is just a 2 minute walk away. Sergio left bus maps and a local maps so everything was very easy. The nearby town of Casteldefells is a short bus ride away and has a Mall that has great shops and the walk up to the castle is good exercise with a fun zig zag walk back down. We found some lovely restaurants in town too. The apartment is air-conditioned and has everything you would need. It is on the third floor and there is no lift. The stairs with luggage were a bit of an effort on day 1, but by day 3 we were very used to them and not a problem at all. Sergio also kindly left us water, wine and biscuits, which were very welcome. Sergio told us he was staying locally and we could call if we needed anything, though we didn't need to as we had everything. He also kindly arranged for a taxi to take us to the airport on our departure. As a beach/city holiday, I found Casteldefells a wonderful location and Sergio is a warm, friendly and helpful host. This is a place I will return to. Thank you Sergio!
