The house built in the 19th century has been recently renovated but still retains an ancient flavor even in the furniture that decorates it. It is a single-family house in the center of the village of Prato di Strada. On the first floor there is a kitchen, a study, a large living room. From the kitchen you can access a paved courtyard furnished with a table and armchairs that allow you to stay outside, and a large garden full of fruit trees. The garden can also be reached from the outside by car and there is a space to park a car. On the second floor there are two double bedrooms, a single bedroom and a bathroom. The house is located in the Casentino valley and precisely in the area of ​​​​the upper Casentino. The village of Prato di Strada is equidistant from the main Tuscan cities: Florence and Arezzo, in fact it is about 50 km from both. It is located near the Apennine ridge of the Pratomagno mountains and the splendid forests of Camaldoli and Verna, where the ancient and historic convents and sanctuaries are located. In the area there are scenic medieval castles built by the Conti Guidi family and Romanesque churches scattered throughout the small villages. The area is ideal for beautiful walks to reach and enjoy natural beauty or to visit historical sites or artistic monuments. The river that borders the town allows bathing in some places during the summer and therefore to immerse yourself in the fresh waters that flow down from the mountain. A few km away there is a zoo with European fauna and a nature reserve. Especially in the spring and summer there are festivals and fairs in all the villages of the valley that allow you to get to know the typical dishes of the Casentino tradition: scottiglia and potato ravioli or DOC products: red potatoes and zolfini beans etc.
