Romantic Art Homestay in Bologna

The accommodation

Wonderful, tiny and cozy attic with old timbers, an open fireplace, a romantic bed on a gallery and a collection and library of contemporary arts in the heart of Bologna, with a huge choice of restaurants and pubs right under the house.

The apartment, where I live since fourteen years and which became my bolognese "nest", is located on the top floor, in the attic of an old palace which originally has been a monastery. It's tiny, but Unique! In the house lives a warm atmosphere that will make you feel at home immediately. The double bed is located on a gallery which makes it very romantic, especially with the open fire burning downstairs in the chimney. You will be surrounded by old timbers and plenty of light during the day.

You will live in the middle of a collection of paintings and sculptures of contemporary art that I was lucky to collect in the last few years and you can immerse yourself in reading and studying many volumes of art history, ancient and modern, magazines and catalogs of various international exhibitions.

Convenient one lives in two, but the house can accommodate up to three people, with a sofa that converts to a bed.

The house will be entirely at your disposal. Since I normally live there, you will have at your disposition all the services of a "normal" house.

You will have access to a fast wireless Internet, a very well equipped kitchen, a washing machine, a walk-in closet in the attic and many other small details that make the house so comfortable.

Still I didn't install an air climatization and in july and august it could be hot. You have at your disposal a ventilator and the possibility not to sleep upstairs under the roof but downstairs on the bedsofa. For this reason I will make a special price in these two summer months.
Me personally or my friend Antonella, if I should be on a journey, will communicate with you and meet you at your arrival, giving you the welcome and all the instructions required for the house.

There will always be present a person in Bologna that, in case you need, will be ready to help you.

Setting

The house is located in Via del Pratello, a lively place in Bologna, which is famous for being the meeting point for students, bolognese people and all those who want to abandon themselves in the big river of pubs and restaurants.

The street is pedestrian and full of restaurants, bars and pub which will spoil you. My house has the advantage of being right in the middle of this bustling place, though its windows are facing the inner courtyard and therefore your peaceful sleep is assured.

The apartment is located in the historical center, in the pedestrian zone within the old walls. It's easy accessed by bus and to get to the Piazza Maggiore by walking you need ten minutes.
