The accommodation

Spacious apartment with 2 bedrooms, living room, kitchen and two bathrooms with shower, one for each room. 85 square meters (280 square feet) of living area located on the 4th floor of a typical building, without elevator. Sleeps up to 6 guests, 4 in 2 double beds which can be separated and 2 on a double sofa-bed in the living room. Kitchen with gas stove, fridge, microwave oven, washing machine, air conditioning, central heating and TV.

* Location

The location is ideal in the heart of historical centre, in Via Ricasoli 15, between the marvellous Duomo and the Museo Dell’Accademia that hosts the famous David created by Michelangelo. Other highlights such as the Piazza della Signoria, Ponte Vecchio, the Uffizi Gallery, the Bargello are only 5 minute walking distance from our accommodation.

* Amenities

Air-conditioning heat and cold, iron and iron board, TV, 110-Volt-sockets, a fully-equipped kitchen, microwave, bathroom with shower, washing machine, bed linen and towels. It’s possible internet "wireless connection" without limit of time at a cost of Euro 10 until 4 days and Euro 15 over 4 days.

Your stay in our little paradise will be, no doubt, a memorable experience!

Setting

* Directions

- By train: from the Central Train Station of Santa Maria Novella walk straight into Via de’ Cerretani towards the world-famous “Duomo”. At the first traffic light of “Piazza Duomo”, make a left turn into “Via Ricasoli” leaving the “Duomo” on your right. You’ll find us on the left side of the street at number 15.

- By plane: from Florence Airport (Peretola) take the “navetta” (shuttle bus) to Florence city and get off at the last stop (Piazza Santa Maria Novella). Then proceed on foot following the above directions (by train).

- By car: Whether you are arriving from the highway A1 (Exit “Firenze Nord”) or from other minor roads, please follow the directions to the Centro/Stazione (Center /Station). Once you’ve reached the “Fortezza da Basso”, make a right turn into Via Lavagnini. At the first traffic light, make another right turn in Via S.c. di Alessandria. Continue straight ahead until you reach “Via Nazionale”.

Turn left in “Via Guelfa” and proceed into “Via Alfani”. Then make a right turn into “Via della Pergola”. As soon as you reach the crossroad “Via Sant’Egidio”, turn into Via Bufalini and continue into Via Pucci until you cross Via Ricasoli. Turn right and after approximatively 30 meters (100 feet), you should be able to see street number 15 on your left.

Since you will now be in a “ZTL” area (“Zona Traffico Limitato” = Limited Traffic Area), you are only allowed to park your car for a few minutes in order to unload your luggage. Please park your car either on one of the unattended parking lots (hourly payment) or in one of the covered and attended parking facilities nearby (recommended!).

Activities and attractions

Distances to some of Tuscany’s historic jewels: Fiesole km 5, Siena km 60, San Gimignano km 50, Volterra km 65, Pisa km 80, Lucca km 85. Reachable both by car and by public transportation (train or bus).
