The accommodation

Luxury detached house in Somo, situated in a unique beach setting with stunning views over the bay of Santander. It is divided into two houses, 200 m2 each. They share a main entrance, 2.750 m2 of garden with fruit trees, a pond, a furnished porch with a sea view, and also a viewpoint with table and chairs for an unforgettable drink overlooking the entire beach "el puntal".

Each house has a terrace with tables and chairs for dining, oriented so that each ensure privacy. One of them has a child safety fence.

The villa is at the top of the village of Somo, in a residential area, completely surrounded by a pine enclosure three metres in height and far enough away for privacy and quiet. The best combination of countryside and beach. It is 300 m from the village of Somo, 600 m from the beach, 200 m from a supermarket, pharmacy, butchers, fish market, restaurants, bars, banks, church, tennis and paddle courts, playgrounds for children and especially 700 m from the regular jetty "Las reginas" to reach the city of Santander; the boat trip on one of the most beautiful bays in the world lasts 20 minutes.

- Las Encinas A: on the ground floor large living room, dining area and fireplace (double sofa bed), kitchen, pantry, freezer and bathroom with power shower. Open terrace with chairs for dining, facing west of the villa. On the second floor there is a suite with bathroom and jacuzzi included, enjoying views of the bay of Santander, two more bedrooms (one double and one single room), one bathroom with shower floor. Sleeps 5-7 people.

- Las Encinas B: on the ground floor large living room, dining area and fireplace, kitchen, pantry and bathroom. Terrace with table and chairs for eating, closed with a railing (fence), south of the villa. On the second floor there is a double room with views across the bay of Santander, game room, two double bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs with shower. Sleeps 6-7 people.

Setting

Somo beach of fine, golden sand is located between "Loredo beach" and "El puntal beach" (to reach this last beach famous for its sand dunes, you can only get to it from Somo on foot or by boat from Santander). "El puntal" is a streten of sand into the bay of Santander, right in front of the Palace of the Magdalena. This beach is ideal to enjoy the unique views of Santander city as well as the estuary of the river Miera, with the mountains in the background. You can also have something to eat/drink in the only beach bar.

You can also visit:

- Loredo (2 km): small coastal town on the east coast beaches of Cantabria. As event highlights the Derby horses. It is possible to dive in the vicinity of Isla Santa Marina.

- Langre (3 Km): Cliffs with steep walls. Beautiful beaches to practice water sports and at the back of the beach you can sunbathe nude.

- Cabárceno Park (17 km): Parkland, Zoo. Ideal to spend a day with the children.

- Santander ( 23 Km): you can visit the Cathedral, Maritime Museum, Palace of the Magdalena, the copies of the 3 ships of Cristobal Colon, walk along the Sandinero or enjoy their beaches.

- Santillana del Mar (35 km): visit the caves of Altamira and the new museum

- The cave "El Soplao" (82 km): we recomend the "adventure visit", they provide you with all the necessary material

- The source of the "Asón" river (38 km), ideal for hiking

- Liérganes, selaya, Carmona or Barcena Mayor

- Comillas, San Vicente de la Barquera

- Picos de Europa: Potes Village, The cable car from Fuente Dé, The Hermida Gorge

- Bilbao: Guggenheim Museum.
