The accommodation

Our guesthouse, Casa de Aldea el Rincón del Sella, is located in Collera on the banks of the Sella River, just 1 km from Ribadesella. Recently renovated in keeping with its traditional style, our house invites visitors to enjoy their stay in a simple and comfortable rural atmosphere. This self-catering house for 4 to 8 guests, offers 4 bedrooms and 4 baths, a cradle for small children, a fully-equipped kitchen (with oven, electric hob, dishwasher, refrigerator and dining table for 8, as well as a full set of dishes and all sorts of cooking utensils). There’s a sitting room with fireplace, sofas, television, DVD, heating and Wi-Fi, as well as tourist information on the area and board games. The 3000 square metres of grounds invite you to enjoy a garden, recreation area, outdoor grill, covered dining area and play area for children. Private car park adjacent to the garden.

Setting

The surroundings are part of protected natural area, of great value due to the numerous native woodlands of oak, holm oak, chestnut and birch trees, with lovely views to the Sierra de Escapa, Picu Moflechu and Mediana Nature Reserve.

In this extraordinary landscape, where mountains, river and sea come together, one finds the renowned River Sella, site of the International Kayaking Race celebrated each year. This event – known in Asturias as the fiesta de las piraguas – is held on the first Saturday in August and has been declared a “celebration of international interest for tourism”. Nearby, you can see local farming methods as well as a working barn.
