Rural house located in the north of Burgos, bordering Cantabria and Vizcaya. Located in a green valley dedicated to livestock farming and suitable for mountain sports.

An old Pasiega hut renovated for the occasion and located on the Bernacho path, the start of the ascent to the Castro Valnera mountain. It is ideal for exploring the countryside and enjoying its landscapes.

DISTRIBUTION OF THE HOUSE

The house has two floors:
* On the ground floor we find the kitchen, the living-dining room with fireplace, a toilet and a bedroom with two single beds and bathroom adapted for the disabled.
* Upstairs there is a bedroom with double bed and bathroom, two bedrooms with two single beds each and a bathroom in the corridor.
* From the upper floor you can access the terrace which has access to the ground floor.
* The house is equipped with kitchenware, sheets and towels.

Setting

The town of Espinosa de los Monteros is located in the mountains of Castilla y León, in the northernmost part of the province of Burgos, bordering Vizcaya and Cantabria.

The northern character of this municipality can be seen in the green colouring of the natural environment. Here, to the south of the Cantabrian Mountains, the erosive power of the small rivers, streams and torrents and the glacial cirque of Lunada, has created narrow valleys, with alternating pastures, pine, beech and oak forests and high rocky walls.

This municipality of Las Merindades is made up of the entities of Para, Santa Olalla, Quintana de los Prados, Bárcenas, the village of Espinosa and the extensive area of Las Machorras, in which scattered farmhouses predominate: small livestock huts surrounded by green and steep pastures enclosed by stone walls.

The town of Espinosa, capital of the municipality, is included among the best artistic sites in the province of Burgos. Strolling through its streets you can breathe in the air of other eras and relive its important history, sometimes getting the feeling that time has stood still.
