Apartment furnished in the heart of Palermo

Excellent location to explore Palermo on foot. Comfortable apartment, we very much appreciated the warm reception our host, Sr Antonello and his willingness to help us to get around the city.

We very much enjoyed our stay in this apartment. My husband and I have four children and the apartment suited our needs, we have one bedroom and the children shared another. Mr Gullo kindly put up a camp bed in their room (& I brought an inflatable bed) which meant we didn't even use the sofa bed in the lounge. My children loved the holiday. The apartment really is in the heart Palermo, five minutes from Teatro Massimo where the Italians promenade and even closer to Teatro Politeama which is very central hub for travel, buses etc. It is in the heart of the restaurant area. We walked or caught the bus everywhere (don't bring a car - there is nowhere to park it, you don't need it and unless you're from Palermo the driving would take nerves of steel). It is 35 minutes walk to the train station, or a five minute bus journey from Teatro Politeama on a very regular bus. The apartment is very clean and maintained to a high standard. The beds are comfortable, the heating (we visited in January) functioned perfectly. The kitchen is a little small, but I still managed to cook meals for six people in it. There are enough plates, pans etc. There is a washing machine, which is easy to use. The table is easily large enough for six people and there are enough chairs also. The apartment has a lovely balcony which overlooks the street and makes you feel completely part of Palermo. Mr Gullo was very helpful, courteous and professional. I would recommend this apartment to anyone who wanted to stay in self catering accommodation in the heart of Palermo.

We looked online at lots of apartments in Palermo and liked the look of Casa Soliva. We were not disappointed. It is a very comfortable, clean and well appointed apartment, close to all the main attractions in the exciting, vibrant city of Palermo. Casa Soliva's owner, Antonello, is charming and hugely helpful. The cost of renting Casa Soliva is very reasonable indeed for such a great apartment. We highly recommend it.
