Routes for the province
Cadiz, unique Spanish province whose coasts are bathed by the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea, gets the name "Costa de la Luz" because of the wonderful sunsets that captivate visitors and residents. From Sanlucar de Barrameda at the mouth of the Guadalquivir River, and along the 260 km coastline, are the beaches of finest and golden sands of the peninsula. This route is full of landscapes like land, sea and ancient fortresses, and even remnants of ancient civilizations, like the Roman ruins of Baelo Claudia, near Tarifa, on the Europa Point where the two seas of the Atlantic and Mediterranean meet. From there, without losing sight of the sea, you can continue to the end of the route to the mouth of Guadalquivir River.
