The accommodation

The Couço´s Home has a capacity of 2-6 people, situated in a small rural village, Couto de Baixo, with magnificent view over the mountain. The region is of great beauty, surrounded by mountains (Serra da Freitas, Caramulo and St. Macarius) and through which several rivers providing excellent beaches river (River Vouga, Teixeira, Alfusqueiro, Easy and Good).

It is a stone house with garden, restored in 2011, located in the core of the village, exposed to the valley, which gives great privacy. It comprises living room with sofa bed, kitchen and bathroom service upstairs; suite with winter garden and a private bathroom complete; double room, room with trundle bed that turns into double bed, full bathroom shared by these two bedrooms, fitted wardrobes in all rooms and courtyard type "English" downstairs.

Outside there is a roof terrace and wood oven, green spaces with a swimming pool and hammocks on the existing trees in the garden, inviting to magic moments of high privacy, tranquility and harmony.

Setting

The house, located in the core of the village, near a small restaurant where regional cuisine, custom, typical meals are served. In the village there is breakfast groceries (coffee Ferreira - 2 min. Walk), craft shop (2 min), put bread (coffee Ferreira), butcher, ATMs, restaurants, hairdresser, dentist.

Activities and attractions

Near several rivers and river beaches. Couto de Esteves is located at 45km of Aveiro and the beaches of Barra and Costa Nova. A few minutes of the tapir Cerqueira, saw Freita and Cabreia cascade. You can take walks through the woods, bathing in the river and rest. Using car can give longer rides, enjoying the mountain scenery and visiting historical monuments. Another interesting activity is to follow the paths of ancient forest until they find the hidden corners where the rivers Vouga and Lordelo (there are many paths marked by the village association).
