The accommodation

There are 5 bedrooms in the villa. The are 3 on the top floor and 2 on the bottom floor. The ones on the bottom floor are as follows; 1 x double room, which is the smallest room in the house. It has plenty of cupboard and drawer space. There is also 1 x twin room with a large wardrobe, bedside drawers and a dressing table. Upstairs, there is 1 x twin room with a small private terrace overlooking Mount Etna, a wardrobe and a chest of drawers. There is also 1 x twin room with a small private terrace overlooking Montagna Grande, a side window with a view over the pool and the Alcantara Valley all the way down to the sea. As well as two single beds, there is also a sofa bed for one person. Finally, there is a double room with a sofa bed with a small private terrace overlooking mount Etna and a side window with a view over the swimming pool and the Alcantara Valley all the way down to the sea. The room has a wardrobe, bedside drawers, a lamp and a wardrobe.

Setting

The Vista Alcantara Villa is perched on the top of a mountain above the village of Motta Camastra that was used as one of the shooting locations for Francis Ford Coppola's "Godfather" movie. It is set in 15000 m2 of secluded and private land. The closest village, Motta Camastra, is about 5 minutes drive and 15 minutes walking. However, as it's a steep climb to come back up, the walk back will take longer.

Activities and attractions

In the area, the most famous attraction is the "Gole dell'Alcantara" - However, closeby, there is a company that offers tours on quad bikes. It is also possible to go trekking. We are only 25 minutes away from the famous tourist hubs of Giardini Naxos and Taormina where there are beautiful beaches and plenty of restaurants, bars and souvenir shops. We are also well placed to visit Castiglione di Sicily, Francavilla di Sicilia, Randazzo and Mount Etna.
