The accommodation

Casa Emilia is very quietly located, among the olive trees on the edge of the hamlet of Matos, where you can completely relax and enjoy a relaxing stay in the beautiful center of Portugal. Escape the daily grind and enjoy a wonderful holiday in a cozy house.

The private entrance has a traditional green ceiling; There is a desk here and you can retreat in peace and quiet. The house has three bedrooms, including 1 master bedroom with a double bed and 2 smaller bedrooms with a single bed each. The bathroom is attractive and has a sink, toilet and spacious walk-in shower.
The spacious living room has a kitchen with, among other things, a refrigerator, electric stove with oven, coffee maker and kettle, as well as a cozy sitting area and a dining table.
There are fans available for cooling and if it is a bit colder, there are electric heaters and woolen blankets.

At the water basin (private use) there is a sunny terrace with sunbeds and cushions. In summer there is a shady pergola with dining table and relaxing chairs.
There will be no other guests, so you will have the entire house and facilities to yourself. The owner lives in another part, at the back of the house and will respect privacy.

Bed linen, towels and tea towels are provided, as well as pool towels.
In the kitchen you will find coffee, tea, sugar, milk, salt and pepper, etc. upon arrival.
The hamlet of Matos has a cafe for a drink and a snack.

Setting

You can take beautiful walks around Casa Emilia. The Caminho de Santiago is even nearby, from Tomar to Coimbra. Special rates apply in winter for these hikers.
The coast with its beaches in the west is an hour's drive away. In the east you will find beautiful lakes less than 20 minutes away, where you can enjoy swimming.
You can also take a walk in the garden, past the olive trees, pear trees and the vineyard.

Activities and attractions

Casa is quietly located on the edge of the authentic hamlet of Matos, in the Ferreira do Zêzere region. The impressive city of Tomar is about a 10-minute drive away and it is definitely worth visiting the impressive Convento de Christo.
The pilgrimage site of Fatima is half an hour's drive away, as is the university city of Coimbra.
The coast with its beaches in the west is an hour's drive away.
In the east you will find beautiful lakes less than 20 minutes away, where you can enjoy swimming.
You can take beautiful walks in the immediate vicinity of the house.
