The accommodation

Casa Karoline is a charming detached villa located in the peaceful complex of La Goleta, less than a five-minute drive from the Faro Park shopping area and the picturesque seafront promenade. Recently renovated, this villa has been meticulously decorated and is fully equipped to provide the comforts of a true home away from home.

The villa features two bedrooms, both with built-in wardrobes and comfortable beds. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, while the second bedroom is furnished with two single beds. There are two bathrooms: the en-suite bathroom of the master bedroom includes a bathtub, and the second bathroom features a practical shower.

The living room, with its impressive vaulted ceiling, offers a cozy space furnished with two spacious leather sofas, an armchair, and a flat-screen TV with international channels. The modern kitchen, equipped with a practical combination of built-in oven and microwave, includes all the essential appliances for those who enjoy home cooking. From the kitchen, you access the outdoor dining area, which seats six people. This outdoor dining area is partially sheltered by a high wall on one side and features a vertical retractable awning at the front, allowing for full enclosure when desired.

From the living room, you can access the terrace, which is equipped with an outdoor table and chairs, ideal for enjoying a relaxing morning coffee or an evening glass of wine while overlooking the pool and the Montaña Roja volcano. Two vertical retractable awnings provide additional protection in this area.

The villa includes a private pool with underwater lighting, which is electrically heated during the winter months (from November to May) to ensure a pleasant temperature. Around the pool, there are comfortable sun loungers perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sun.

Additional features of the villa include adjustable shutters, a portable barbecue, elegant marble floors throughout the villa, and marble countertops in both bathrooms, adding a touch of luxury and refinement.

The villa also offers high-speed fiber optic Internet.

Located in a gated community, Villa Karoline also provides private parking next to the villa entrance.

Setting

The accommodation is located in the residential complex of La Goleta, which is accessed through its vehicular entrances. The gates to these entrances open and close with telephone access codes, which we will provide to our guests before their arrival.

Activities and attractions

For travellers looking for a more relaxed holiday close to the villa, there are several lovely options for enjoying the area.
Just a 10-15 minute walk (or less than 5 minutes by car) from the villa is the Faro Park shopping area. In this area, there are two ATMs, two small supermarkets, a liquor shop, as well as a few bars, cafes and restaurants. The local restaurants (some of which offer take-away or delivery service) have a pleasant atmosphere and offer good value for money for perfectly acceptable breakfasts and meals, while the bars are small and cosy, ideal for a relaxing after dinner drink.
An aproximate 20 minute walk from the villa will take you to the Avenida Maritima, a stunning coastal promenade that leads to the picturesque village of Playa Blanca and furthermore to the Marina Rubicon. This route is ideal for those who enjoy walking, running or cycling, as well as those looking to discover the small hidden coves along the coastline, perfect for a refreshing dip in crystal clear waters.
Along the way, there are two diving centres and the popular chiringuito Tropical, much loved by the locals for its delicious paellas. Further along, the La Mulata shopping centre invites you to enjoy a gastronomic variety that includes Argentinian, Greek and Italian flavours, not forgetting the great cocktails served on the terrace of the Lounge Bar Marea, which offers spectacular views towards the island of Fuerteventura.
Further along the Avenida Marítima, the beaches of Flamingo, Playa Blanca and Playa Dorada are ideal for a day of sun and sea while, for an experience of complete relaxation, the idyllic white sandy beaches of Papagayo are a paradisiacal setting in which to rest and enjoy the sun in total tranquillity.
Another interesting option is to walk up to the crater of the volcano of Montaña Roja, from where you can admire breathtaking panoramic views. You can also visit the marina Marina Rubicón, which offers an attractive combination of boutiques, restaurants and a craft market, held on Wednesdays and Saturdays, where you can find gifts and local and handmade products. All this without losing sight of the wide range of water activities on offer.
To get around the area, bus no. 30 is a convenient option. It departs from Faro Park every hour in the early morning and evening, and every half hour for the rest of the day. This bus covers routes to the village of Playa Blanca, the Marina Rubicon marina and the Las Coloradas area to the east of the village. The nearest bus stop to the villa is on Avenida Pechiguera, just a 10 minute walk from the villa.
Taxis are another convenient option and are readily available when needed. A taxi ride from the villa to Playa Blanca usually costs around €10.
If you wish to explore further afield, renting a car is an excellent option. With a car, you can visit some of the island's main attractions, such as Timanfaya National Park, La Geria wine region, the Janubio Salt Flats, Charco de los Clicos and Los Hervideros. Further north, you will discover such wonders as Los Jameos del Agua, the Cueva de los Verdes and the Mirador del Río, among other fascinating places.
