The accommodation

Excellent country house located on a closed estate of more than 4000 m. It has a large garden with swings, fruit trees, barbecue, wood oven and impressive views of the sea. It also has a small garden (depending on the season) and a corral with chickens (homemade eggs).Three-story house with six bedrooms, a spacious kitchen, two bathrooms and a large living room with fireplace.

Its surface is between the Mogro estuary and the Suances estuary (San Martín de la Arena), formed at their mouth by the Pas rivers, the first, and the Saja-Besaya, the second. This municipality stands out for its numerous beaches: Marzán (300 meters), Los Caballos in Cuchía (300 meters), Usgo (300 meters) and Robayera in Miengo, in addition to Mogro beach (1,500 meters).

Perfect location, 15 minutes from Santander and 10 from Torrelavega. Other places of interest:

• Liencres Dunes Natural Park (10 km away).• Cabarceno (36.30 km away).• Santillana del Mar (16.20 km away).• Comillas (39.60 km away).• San Vicente de la Barquera (46.50 km away).• Cuevas del Soplao (46 km away. There are also numerous marsh areas in Cudón, Cuchía and Miengo.

The municipality preserves prehistoric vestiges in the caves of La Pila, in Cuchía, and Cudón. The latter is especially notable, which belongs to the Upper Paleolithic and houses engravings and cave paintings. In this area there are also various mountain houses, among which the Herrera Palace stands out, a baroque mansion that was built between the 17th and 18th centuries.

As exponents of religious architecture, we can mention the parish churches of Mogro, Miengo, Bárcena de Cudón and Cuchía.

Miengo celebrates numerous pilgrimages and festivals during the summer season. The patron saint of the municipality is the Virgen del Monte, who is commemorated on August 24 in Mogro.
