The accommodation

Two floors vila with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms right in front of Isla Canela's sandy beach. Private furnished garden. Private pool with a baby safety gate. Fully equipped kitchen, with washing machine, dishwaser, owen, microwave, dining table and direct access to the garden and the pool. Two terraces plus a panoramic roof terrace with amazing views. Setting

Isla Canela is a real island, separated from the continent by several sea channels. Part of it declared Natural Protected Area, (a legal qualification just one level below that of National Pak) due to its rich ecological value, what has limited its occupation and reduced the building activity. Only a 20% of the island is occupied, while traditional activities (crops and fishing), still go on. In fact, the island still encloses two small fishermen's villages, and a 7 km long sandy beach with warm clean waters. It belongs to the Andalucian town of Ayamonte, placed right in the border to the Portuguese Algarve.

The vila is placed right in front of the beach, separated from the sand by a narrow street. And nearby (200 m.) the tourist commercial area. Thus served with supermarkets, restaurants, bars, and small shops. Ayamonte (8 km) provides the usual services of a medium (18.000 population) town.

Activities and attractions

The area encloses two sport marinas, an18 holes golf course, public sporting areas (tennis, paddle tennis, basket, football, inner swimming pool, gyms), sailing, canoeing and kite surfing schools The area is popular for fishing and hiking. A biking/jogging lane runs it and connects it to Ayamonte.

Both the Andalusiam and the Portuguese areas provide a remarkable gastronomy, based essentialy on fish, and rice.
