The accommodation

Accommodation located 5 km from Carcabuey, in the center of the Sierras Subbéticas Cordobesas Natural Park, next to a spring and at the foot of the mountains, ideal for large groups and to be able to hike in the surroundings.

Establishment formed by 2 parts that will be occupied together or only one of them depending on the number of occupants. It consists of a part with 13 places and another with 3+1 places.

Up to 4 places, the smallest unit will be occupied, from 5 to 13 places the largest part will be occupied (we will close the rooms that are not necessary), and from 13 to 17 the entire house will be occupied.

The smallest unit of 3+1 beds has an independent access on the ground floor, although it can be communicated with the other unit internally. It is adapted for people with reduced mobility, and there are no steps in the entire unit or in the surrounding leisure area, you can even access the pool without any kind of obstacle. It has 1 room with 2 beds of 0.90X1.90 m, and another room adapted for people with reduced mobility (door of 0.82 cm) with a double bed of 1.50x1.90 m; bathroom with large shower and bar for people with reduced mobility in toilet and shower; 25 m2 living-dining room with air conditioning as well as a wood-burning fireplace with which all rooms are heated, a 2-seater L-shaped sofa bed, a 6-seater table; American-style kitchen with electric ceramic hob, oven, 6-seater dishwasher, washing machine, fridge-freezer, smart TV, blender, TASSIMO capsule coffee maker, toaster and complete kitchenware for 6 people.

The larger unit is distributed over two floors and can be connected internally to the small unit through the laundry area and hallway to the bathroom. It has 13 seats, an American-style kitchen with a ceramic hob, toaster, dishwasher, blender, oven, washing machine, microwave, combi-type refrigerator and a freezer; living room with wood-burning fireplace, tables and chairs for 12 people, 2-seater sofa, 2 wooden armchairs and 2 rocking chairs; laundry room with washing machine; 3 double bedrooms (one with 1 bed of 1.50x1.90 m and the possibility of placing 1 extra bed, with air conditioning); 2 bedrooms with a 1.35x1.90 m bed, one of them with air conditioning; 1 bedroom with fireplace and air conditioning for 3 single beds where 3 extra beds can be placed; 1 bedroom with a double bed on which there is a single bunk bed and another single bed with air conditioning. 2 full bathrooms, one with a bathtub and the other with a shower. To access the different rooms there are several steps to save the different slopes that make up the 2 floors.

Outside we have large shaded areas under the branches of imposing walnut trees where the barbecue, ping-pong table, dartboard, Jacuzzi for 6 people, a sink to wash by hand on the stone and a spring from which water flows very refreshing and pure all year round.

Lawn area with more than 200 m2 around a large swimming pool with a 9+18 m slide, sun loungers and parasols.

We have a 2-hectare orchard with quinces and different fruit trees such as apples, walnuts, pears, pomegranates, an organic garden in summer, etc.

The house is ideal for large groups who want to relax or want to get to know some of the wonderful cities of Andalusia; for example Ronda, Antequera, Priego de Córdoba, Granada, Córdoba, Málaga, Jaén, Úbeda, Baeza or Seville; or to make excursions on foot or by bike from the same house, since it is located in the center of the Natural Park of the Sierras Subbéticas Cordobesas, and from the same house you can make many outings and routes.

Setting

You can call us at any time during your stay, or even before you get home, we will be happy to solve any questions or problems you may have.

During your stay you will be able to taste the exquisite white wine from the Montilla Moriles denomination that we make available to you in a barrel in one of the coolest areas of the house, specifically in the laundry room, which serves as communication between the 2 units.

We can offer you a rich paella, tapas preparation, homemade meals from the area, artisan sweets, etc...

Take them to see the operation of some of the most important olive oil mills in the world that are located in our municipality. They can visit a factory where they make an exquisite traditional goat cheese. or visit one of the white wine cellars of the Montilla-Moriles denomination that are 30 km from the house.

Recommend some of the innumerable routes on foot or by bicycle that can be done from there.

In season, we can offer you the usual crops that grow in the area, tomatoes, peppers, garlic, onions, cucumbers, aubergines, potatoes, etc...

We usually spend a day or two at the house on stays of more than a week to clean the pool, water the plants and chat with the tenants.

It is an ideal place to organize a special celebration. We can hire a private chef for a party, a masseuse for a day of pampering, and even a bus ride to one of the nearby towns for a flamenco show. If what you are looking for is to spend a special day to hold an event, we can also help you.

There are a few tapas bars within walking distance of the house to go and experience the real Andalucia with a fantastic meal garnished with some of our fine wines and oils.

Activities and attractions

VISITS IN LESS THAN AN HOUR

Priego de Córdoba 6 km away, one of the most beautiful towns in Spain, where you can see the Barrio de la Villa, the Balcón del Adarve and the Fuente del Rey, Carnicerías Reales, the Arab castle of the 13th and 14th centuries or the monumentality of the best Andalusian Baroque in its churches such as the Iglesia de la Asunción from the 16th century.

In Almedinilla, 14 km away, you can visit one of the best-preserved Roman Villas in Andalusia, as well as its ecomuseum on the Caicena River, very close to the Cola de Caballo waterfalls, and the Íbero Cerro de la Cruz settlement.

In the town of Cabra, 22 km from the house is the Infanta Margarita Regional Hospital, a city rich in heritage, such as the Municipal Auditorium, the Oil Train Interpretation Center, the Virgen de la Sierra Hermitage from where you can see much of Andalusia, or the Fuente del Río.

Lucena, 30 km from the house, offers many tourist attractions, from its history, represented in buildings such as the Castillo del Moral and the old palace of the Medinaceli family, the Church of San Mateo, the Casa de los Condes de Santa Ana or the Casa of the Rico de Rueda; its artisan tradition, especially in goldsmithing and pottery; its gastronomy, of which its wines give sample; and, lastly, their parties. You can also take a bike route from the station of the old Oil Train route, where the Subbética greenway passes, one of the longest in Andalusia

30 km away is Alcalá la Real, where you can visit the Fortaleza de la Mota monumental complex, one of the most impressive and best preserved in Andalusia, together with its old town, you will enjoy its streets and its monuments.

Rute, famous for its mantecados, and liqueurs, where you can visit the museums of Ham, Anis, Polvorón, etc., where they will give you free tastings of their products and is located 24 km from the house. You can also visit the La Hoz River Gorge, about 20 km from the house, or an ancient Holm oak declared a Natural Monument by the Ministry of the Environment of the Junta de Andalucía, just 2 km from the house.

You should also not miss visiting Iznajar, 40 km away, a town completely surrounded by one of the largest reservoirs in Andalusia, with Valdearenas beach, and where you can practice water sports such as rafting on the Genil river, or kayaking.

About 65 km away is Antequera, where in addition to the city you can visit one of the most impressive geological formations in southern Europe, El Torcal de Antequera, specifically in Villanueva de la Concepción. As well as the archaeological complex of the dolmens of Antequera, a World Heritage Site.

VISITS FOR MORE THAN ONE HOUR

The beaches of the Costa del Sol in Malaga are 120 km from the house, where you can visit the Picasso Museum, La Alcazaba, or the Port of Malaga.

The city of Ronda 155 km away, famous for its historic center, bullring, or impressive Tajo.

The city of Córdoba 100 km away, a World Heritage Site where you can visit the Mosque-Cathedral or Medinat Azahara 12 km from the city:

The city of Granada, where the Alhambra Generalife is located, 86 km away. If you are interested in visiting the second most visited monument in Spain, you should get your tickets well in advance online as they sell out very quickly.

And finally, we recommend you to visit the historic center cities of Úbeda and Baeza in Jaén, 135 km away, World Heritage cities.
