The accommodation

Our appart-house JACQUOU (40 m²), is located in the heart of the medieval village of Beynac and Cazenac, ranked 7th most beautiful village in France.

It is composed of 2 rooms + 1 large bathroom.

Access to Jacquou is from the old paved path to the castle.

The walls of the house were in the Middle Ages integral part of the ramparts, one of the openings is besides a murderer.
The house was renovated in autumn 2012 resulting from a subtle mix between tradition and modernity.
Tradition of more than 500 years of history, which is found in the walls of ocher stone, exposed wooden beams, the pointed window of the common room.

Modernity with:
* a room of life composed of a corner KITCHEN equipped with refrigerator-freezer, dishwasher, 4 plates of induction cooking, combined oven grill- microwaves, a corner DINING ROOM with table + 4 chairs in Altuglas, a LIVING AREA with 2 seater sofa + pouf, nesting tables, flat screen TV.
* a room: double bed of 140 x 190 cm
* a large bathroom with sink, shower cabin with spa + toilet.

Setting

Its castle perched on top of an imposing limestone cliff of more than 150 m dominates the river Dordogne and seems straight out of the 12th century and the time of the barons of Beynac.

The region is full of tourist sites, some more pleasant and more magical than others: castles, pits, caves, gardens, bastides ...

10 kms from the very pleasant historic town of Sarlat.
Very close: the castle of Milandes, having belonged to Joséphine Baker, the abyss of Proumeyssac, the caves of Lascaux but also La Roque Gageac and then Castelnaud, Domme,
Less than an hour's drive from the famous Padirac chasm and the religious city of Rocamadour.
