LUGO AND THE CATHEDRALS BEACH
A wonderful city with 2,000 years of history, the incredible Roman wall of Lugo is more than 2 kilometres long and has more than 80 defensive towers. Another emblematic monument is the Cathedral of Santa María de Lugo, a spectacular temple located in the centric Praza Santa María.
Leaving Lugo towards the coast and Ribadeo, we arrive at Las Catedrales Beach (playa de las catedrales), with its fine white sand and large rock formations that may remind us of the flying buttresses of the cathedrals; large rock arches of tens of meters high that dot this beach forming a wonderful landscape. It is advisable to visit it at low tide and during the months of July and August it is necessary to book on-line.

What you have to do in this city besides walking through its streets and visiting the cathedral is to get to know its various historical monuments.

Lanzada Beach
If you want to know what to see in Galicia near Pontevedra, here it is. Of all the beaches in the area, this is the most recommended. La Lanzada is one of the 5 best beaches to see in Galicia, and it is not to be missed.
PORTONOVO
Portonovo is a Galician coastal town that belongs to the municipality of Sanxenxo in the region of O Salnés, in the estuary of Pontevedra. It is located in a spectacular natural environment in the Rias Baixas and in front of the National Park of the Atlantic Islands.
COMBARRO, in general terms we can say that it is distributed in two well differentiated zones, one of them is the street or lane that crosses the coast next to the boats and the food and souvenirs shops. And the other part is the highest corresponding to the old town where we find some steep streets and old houses.
PONTEVEDRA
For us this mythical city is one of the most beautiful in all of Galicia. Walking through the streets of its old town is a real delight but this is not only for us. Due to the good conservation of the city besides being all the old town only pedestrian it is considered like one of the most comfortable European cities to live. What stands out about Pontevedra is its urban quality, mobility and accessibility, but this is not the only award it has received. All this has made it a city of example and model at a national and international level.
ORENSE AND THE THERMAL BATHS
Two thousand years of history can be felt in the monumental architecture of Ourense, a range of buildings that invite you to travel back in time: to medieval, renaissance, baroque, modernist Ourense... and even much earlier, the Roman and pre-Roman city, famous for the gold of the Miño and the hot waters of As Burgas.
The cathedral of Ourense is one of the most important of the community catalogued as a Cultural Interest. Besides appreciating it from the outside, we recommend you to go inside where you can see its porticos, the chapel of Santo Cristo, its High Altar and the Treasure of the Cathedral.
THE THERMAL BATHS
Located practically in the bed of the Miño River, it is an open-air thermal complex at the foot of an old wooden mill (an acea) that has been completely restored, from which it takes its name (muíño is the Galician word for "mill"). It is surrounded by a wide green recreational area, which merges with the riverside vegetation of the place.
The complex is made up of five swimming pools: a main pool of 200 m2, a second one of 130 m2 and other two smaller ones of 55 and 45 m2, as well as a cold water pool for contrast baths. The bathing water here is around 40º C. The whole enclosure is fed by several springs flowing at temperatures between 65 and 72º C, some of the hottest in the Peninsula.
The waters of these hot springs are of weak mineralization and alkaline: bicarbonate-sodium, fluoride and silicate.
The Muíño da Veiga thermal area is accessible by foot. The nearest car park is very close, with access from the N-120. It is also possible to park on the opposite bank, in the area of Reza. Both parkings are free of charge.

COSTA DA MORTE
A Coruña
One of the most important and beautiful cities you have to see. It is located in the Rias Altas and is bathed by the Atlantic Ocean. It has a beautiful promenade with typical houses with stained glass windows, as well as other interesting places to visit. We recommend that you spend at least one day in A Coruña, which is sure to captivate you as much as we do.
Tower of Hercules
One of the most famous monuments in Galicia is the Tower of Hercules, the third highest lighthouse in Spain. Located in a strategic point it is possible to see the tower from several points of the city of A Coruña. We recommend you to climb to the top of the tower where the views are incredible. This lighthouse is a Roman lighthouse that is almost 2 thousand years old and is also considered to be the oldest working lighthouse in the world.
Castro of Baroña
For us, one of the places that would appear in a list of five places to know in Galicia would undoubtedly be the Castro Baroña. The castro is located on the shores of the ocean protected by what remains of its two walls of which only a part is currently preserved. There are also some remains of the houses that were a total of 20. When you get to the castro you are speechless, you can really imagine what the settlement must have been like between the 1st century BC and the 1st century AD.
Cape Finisterre
The cape par excellence of the community could not be missing from our list of essential places to visit in Galicia. This famous cape is known for being the last point where pilgrims arrive on the Camino de Santiago.
VIGO, Cíes Islands and Baiona
Monte de O Castro is the origin of Vigo, where the first settlers settled in the second and third centuries BC
Porta do Sol is km 0 of Vigo; the hinge that links the historic quarter of Vigo and the Ensanche,
The fishermen's quarter of Vigo is Bouzas
Vigo is sea, and the sea is Vigo. It is not in vain that Vigo is the leading European port in terms of fresh fish landings
The spectacular beach of Samil invites you to stop the hours in front of the sea.
It is not possible to feel Vigo completely without crossing the Rande Bridge by car and contemplating from its height the island of San Simón and the Cíes Islands or the immensity of the Vigo estuary
Cíes Islands
One of the best known excursions in the Rias Bajas. This beautiful archipelago of three islands is considered a National Park because of its high natural value. We recommend you to dedicate a whole day to enjoy its landscapes.
Baiona and the Castro Santa Tecla
We go back in time and visit again one of the most representative historical monuments of Galicia. The Castro Santa Tecla is considered to be of Cultural Interest due to its good state of conservation. To think that it is a very important archaeological site to know the history of the zone. This castro is really big and you can also see a reconstructed house.
