The accommodation

orgo Le Caselle is located in a small district of the municipality of Tortorella, at 670 m above sea level, 6 km from the town and 18 km from the sea (Sapri), in the Gulf of Policastro, between sea and mountains.

The three houses of Borgo Le Caselle are located on a plot of approximately 6,000 m2, made up partly of holm oak forest, partly of young olive grove and meadow. From the various terraces the view ranges from the green hills to the blue sea on the horizon. Each home has its own private access and abundant parking space.

Casa Sottana can accommodate up to 6 people in the three bedrooms. A dining room overlooks the sea and with the wood stove offers all the comfort to enjoy a relaxed holiday; in the house you will find: dishwasher, oven, refrigerator and Internet access. On the first floor there are 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and a small terrace, on the ground floor a bathroom, the dining room, the kitchen, a closet, and the third bedroom. The 2 single beds are located on a gallery - accessible by a steep wooden ladder.
Sheets and towels are folded in the cabinets; in the laundry room you will find: washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board, as well as a series of products for cleaning the house in an ecological way.
The location of Borgo Le Caselle allows you to rediscover the rhythm, scents and sounds of nature. After a day under the sun on one of the beaches of the Tyrrhenian coast you can retreat to the cool, in the silence of the mountains. On summer evenings the various villages of the Gulf offer festivals, concerts and exhibitions. You can buy typical products from our neighbors such as ricotta, pecorino cheese, eggs, vegetables, goat meat and lamb; you can find the herbs to flavor them in the garden. From the house you can climb Mount Cocuzzo and Mount Serralunga, using the old shepherds' paths that wind through the holm oak forest behind the house. The terraces of the Borgo invite you to stop and rest, read, dream, observe the stars at night and the lizards during the day.
Directly from the house it is possible to walk on paths towards two beautiful peaks (1387 m and 1450 m), or reach the nearby villages (Torraca, Casaletto Spartano, Tortorella), following the Cammino di San Nilo. The surrounding landscape, rich in water and thick vegetation, offers springs, streams and deep gorges.
The Gulf of Policastro is surrounded by the steep coasts of Masseta and Maratea, both areas of high naturalistic protection.
For those who are culturally interested we recommend a visit to the Certosa di Padula (UNESCO heritage site), the early Christian baptistery of San Giovanni in Fonte, the Lucanian excavations of Roccagloriosa with two small museums and the House of Ortega in Bosco.
