The accommodation

The house is located in a quiet area of ​​Viareggio. It is on two levels, very spacious (about 160 square meters) and equipped with a large and fresh garden in the shade of a beautiful fir tree. On the ground floor a large living room, bathroom and a large kitchen with access to the garden; on the first floor 3 comfortable double bedrooms, two large balconies and a bathroom with shower / bath and toilet. The house is bright and cool in summer, parking space included. Air conditioning in the lounge.

NEW: two additional beds in the sofa bed located in the living room! And an additional camping cot for a child!

Hi, I'm Maria! I was born in Sicily but I've always lived in Viareggio. Thanks to the advice of a friend, I decided to start welcoming travelers to this house, where I grew up and I have good memories of it, because I am sure that I will be able to get into the good memories of so many other people .. for me the reception is a new world, that fascinates me and intrigues me a lot ..

Setting

"Villa L'Abete" is located in a residential area in Viareggio, just outside the city center (reachable on foot in 20 minutes). It is near the sea, which can be reached in about 20/25 minutes walking through a beautiful pine forest (ideal for picnics, walking, jogging and in the evening with places to listen to music and have a drink) ..
Nearby (within 300 meters) there is everything you need during your stay: food, bar, ice cream, pizzerias, supermarket, post office, bank, butcher, tobacconist, bakery, pharmacy, laundry.
The house has a parking space
A few steps away also the bus stop that leads directly into the center, on the legendary "walk" and to the railway station.

Activities and attractions

In the area it is a must to visit the civic museums (modern and contemporary art museum GAMC, Maritime Museum, Archaeological and Man Museum AC Blanc, Museum of Musical Instruments C. Ciuffreda and Monumental Halls of Villa Paolina, Atelier A. Catarsini); the period villas are an attraction for those interested in the architectural aspect that links the liberty style to the city of Viareggio (eg Villa Paolina Bonaparte, Puccini's villa in Torre del Lago, in the promenade there are several buildings in liberty style finely restored and maintained over time).
The pine forest (both the eastern and western one) is an attraction on hot summer days with its many kiosks for taking a cool drink and for the children's rides, as well as being a place for recreation where you can jog, ride a bike, in the classic "Carrozzella" (particular bike that can be occupied up to 6 people) and the legendary "grillo"!
You can't absolutely miss the pier and the promenade of Viareggio: with shops for shopping and clubs to spend romantic and quiet evenings.
The numerous restaurants of the Darsena Viareggio and Versilia will be able to refresh you and put you back in strength: the fish cooked by our chefs and the 'cacciucco viareggino' will remain in your memories for a long time, I'm sure!
In the area the other towns of Versilia are areas of interest in different aspects:
Pietrasanta, with his art and the city that is really a 'bijoux';
Forte dei Marmi, which in reality needs no explanation: classy shopping, luxury and sequins are the masters, as you will already know;
Camaiore, a city that, with its Lido di Camaiore, contains both the nearby mountains and the summer nightlife of the coast;
Torre del Lago Puccini, famous for the composer who settled there and the Festival that takes its name ..;
and then Pisa, really close, Lucca, Florence, Siena, Livorno, ... In short, Tuscany is all to visit and Viareggio is its pearl !!
