The accommodation

The place is located on the southern slope of Mount Etna near the villages Nicolosi and Pedara. In the past used as family country house with a small garden and a vineyard and plenty of space outdoor. It's a comfortable and welcoming retreat for guests who wish to explore beautiful Sicily. Located in the popular touristic region of southern Etna, the property allows easy access to all the area's attractions while still offering a setting of peace and solitude.

The luminous, comfortably furnished double bedrooms includes private bathroom and two terraces with gorgeous views of the vineyards, the nearby city of Catania and the bay. The peak of Mount Etna is visible from the back of the property. Guests also have access to a spacious living room and kitchen area and are invited to enjoy our garden, orchard and vineyards. Organic, artisan jams, spreads and wines made here from our own produce are available for you to sample.

Setting

The plase is located a short distance away from the picturesque towns of Nicolosi and Pedara, which feature shops and excellent restaurants; 30 km away from the Catania airport and a short drive or bus ride away from all of Mount Etna's attractions, including volcano hikes, ski slopes and the cable cars.

Activities and attractions

Pachamama is not just a holiday place but we aim to offer you a unique experience by arranging for you various activities e.g. go for tailor made hikes and excursion with local geologist, learn Italian, be part of the wine-making experience (late September), get involved in producing marmalades, jams and Sicilian preserves (e.g. of aubergines, tomatoes, artichokes, “caponata” depending on the season), boat tours in the Ionuian sea
