The accommodation

Studio (self catering) for maximum 2-3 persons (25m²)

A typically Gascony style room, with wooden floors and terracotta (red brick) walls, exposed beams, located in the wing of the house with it’s own covered terrace and entrance. The room has 2x single beds (80 cm x 210 cm-beds can be “zippered” together if preferred), furnished with a comfortable couch, a wooden table and 2 chairs. It has a small kitchen (microwave, electric stove, no dishwasher) and private beautifully tiled bathroom with bathtub, mosaic wash basin and toilet. The bathroom has a Petit Marseillais soap and 2 fluffy towels per person (bathrobes on request). Please bring your own towels for the swimming pool. Extra bed possible. Separate entrance with veranda, garden furniture and garden view. For chilly nights you can use the electric heater. WIFI/no TV.

You also have access to the Salon Rouge. This salon is for communal use and has the best WIFI. Outside is a pick nick table and barbecue for your use.

Setting

The Domaine, mentioned for the first time in the 18th century, has once been part of the old abbey of Berdoues, as a farm and as a sanctuary. Even during the Spanish civil war it was a safe place for refugees. The house and long driveway with century-old oaks and 3.5 ha of organic farmland, with grazing horses, all exude a feeling of peace and safety.

Activities and attractions

There is an abundance of possibilities for recreation from walking, bicycling (we have several bicycles which you can use for free), fishing , horseback riding, golfing, mountain biking to sport fishing; a sure paradise for the peace seeker but certainly also for the adventurous type. Many Bastide villages, abbeys and castles to visit. Summer is packed village festivals, night markets, brocantes.
