Also, you will find in Sintra old town many and beautiful historic monuments and fantastic mountain views over the sea. Lisbon, the capital, is only half an hour drive. Colares village, (5 min. drive from the villa) has one of the best wine tastes of the country (Adega de Colares, Ramisco wine).

This romantic cottage has a terrace and a nice garden with a private swimming pool . 10 km from SINTRA, world heritage site declared by UNESCO. it’s a small village hanging on the vertical cliffs over the sea formed by little white-washed houses, trimmed in blue, that seem to cling to the rocks over the sea, ending in a very small beach with a natural swimming pool. With a strong fishing traditions, Praia das Maças is a popular place both in Summer and Winter, due to the beautiful view it offers where you can go by foot along the cliffs. There you will find restaurants where you can taste the very appreciated Portuguese gastronomy (fish and seafood), one of the best in the world, cafes, bars, discotheques as well as shops selling local crafts and a swimming-pool with sea water.

Villa in Sintra, which is UNESCO World Heritage Site, you can visit the gardens and the historical buildings (Village National Palace, Pena Palace, Monserrate Palace, Palace Regaleira, Seteais, Moorish Castle and Convent Capuchin).

If the Cascais can pass by Cabo da Roca (the most western point of Europe) with a magnificent view over the Atlantic Ocean. Continuing towards Cascais passes by the famous Guincho beach where practice Kyte surfing and surfing.

If you are golfer, also here you can find a short distance several Greens, as Beloura (15 km) Penha Longa (15 Km) Estoril (20 Km) Fine Country Club (30 km) and Carregueira (30 km).
