The accommodation
The house is on the South facing banks of the Rio Alva in a quiet part of Coja only 200ms from the river beach.
It has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and a comfortable living room on the first floor with a veranda that has lovely views over the river to the mountains beyond. The kitchen is in the old wine cellar with the schist stone walls and a door out to the private garden with patio, furniture and a BBQ. The living room has a wood burner for the cooler winter months and wood is included in the rental price.
Coja is an ancient market town with restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, shops,bank,chemist and river beach. Arganil is approx. 10kms, Coimbra approx. 40kms and the Serra de Estrela approx. 50kms, the beach at Figueira de Foz is approx. 50kms.

Quiet and beautiful
This was exactly what we were looking for. Quiet with beautiful surroundings. We had a wonderful holiday with everything we needed in the house and Jane went out of her way to supply us with the little extras (baby chair) that we needed. The washing machine was so important. The village is wonderful, the neighbours so helpful and the surrounding area is exciting. We would definitely return. Thank you Jane.
