The accommodation

Palazzo Pollaiolo is a residential building with 16th century origins which occupies a dominant position with beautiful views of the village.
It is situated at a height of around 350 m above sea level, inside an estate of approximately 18 hectares that mainly produces excellent olive oil and wine.
It is 4 Km away from the village of Cetona which is accessed along an unpaved road.
The villa was renovated in the 1990s by the current owners fully respecting the building’s original features.
Outside, in addition to the many natural corners, there is a private swimming pool (7x14 m) with bathroom and changing room, an outdoor dining area near the kitchen and a covered barbecue.

Setting

Cetona is a delightful little medieval village in the heart of Tuscany. The ancient part of the historic center still clearly displays the urban layout used in medieval towns built around a distinguished fortress. This area is famous for fine wines, olive oil and the wild, hilly green countryside.
The most singular and characteristic aspect of holidaying in Cetona is the discreet way the people spend time together, at each other’s houses, with no particular attraction or place of public interest, excluding strolls around the square and the classic suppers at «Nilo’s», which is more an institution than a restaurant.
Cetona’s true fame lies in the fact that it has become the location chosen by numerous personalities who have purchased the old farmhouses inside the village - like fashion designer Valentino – and particularly on the slopes of the mountain, renovating them and turning them into splendid residences.
