The accommodation

The small apartment (60 m2), with independent entrance, is located on the mezzanine floor of an ancient building in the heart of the historic center. From the entrance, a few steps lead to the living room and bedroom, another few steps lead to the mezzanine where the kitchen is located. The apartment, in the living room, can accommodate a third person. The apartment has been carefully renovated, is comfortable and well equipped. Various linens, crockery and furnishings are available to guests for a pleasant stay.
Despite being in the heart of the nightlife, the house is quiet and the height of the mezzanine floor ensures absolute privacy; it is equipped with a flat screen television, air conditioning, independent heating, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, washing machine.
The kitchen, on the mezzanine, is well equipped; in addition to the oven, pots and toaster, guests will have at their disposal the essentials to prepare, in addition to coffee, a good plate of spaghetti.

Setting

The historic center of Salerno has been reborn in recent decades. It inevitably retains the traces of a very long abandonment but the continuous private and public recovery interventions have valorised beautiful areas, with a past full of history. The alley takes its name from the ancient medieval custom of placing fish for sale on stone blocks. The apartment is located in an old family building, we bought it from relatives because it was particular, with authentic wooden beams on the ceiling, the mezzanine. In the renovation, carried out by my architect daughter, we used beautiful Vietri ceramics but we also liked reviving some old furniture in the house.

Activities and attractions

The house is located in a strategic position for all the traveller's needs: visits to the city and its major places of interest, travel by public transport to the Amalfi coast and the most attractive locations in Campania.
A few meters away, the important complex of San Pietro a corte and Palazzo Fruscione. Crossing two streets you find yourself on the splendid Lungomare, near the Santa Teresa beach and the Maritime Station, a jewel by architect Zaha Hadid.

In a few minutes, on foot, you reach the municipal villa, the Verdi theater and during the Christmas period you find yourself in the heart of the artistic lights, the Christmas and New Year's markets in the square.
