Villa for rent only 400 meters from the beach

This is a lovely well appointed house just a short walk from the beach. The bedrooms are spacious and the bathrooms well equipped. We had a fantastic fortnight there in the gated complex. The pool was enormous and very clean with room around the outside to enjoy the sunshine. And a really well maintained tennis court just 10 or so metres away ! Georgio was exceptionally helpful - even going so far as to translate certain documents for us to assist our stay. We had a couple of little teething problems but he resolved them swiftly and attentively to allow us to enjoy our holiday. I think it would however benefit from slightly better garden furniture and some allocated sun loungers. There was no wifi which was a bit of a surprise. We were able to use Fon's service and bought 10 days of Internet for about 20 euros but I think in a place of this type WIFI would normally be expected. The barbeque was lovely and there is sufficient wood and pine needles etc in the forest to be able to fuel this without the need for charcoal. We had no hire car and managed fine. I would however say that for the majority of people it would be preferable to have a car. We walked to the supermarket - there is a big Lidl on the road towards Pulia as well as a small shop near the beach called Twins where we supplemented our main shop. Esposende is about a mile and a half away but is a pleasant walk along the river. We took advantage of a pretty good and reasonable bus service to visit Porto, Viana de Castelo and Esposende. Ofir beach is quite quiet but a very pleasant clean beach with supervised bathing. I would thoroughly recommend this property for a relaxing stay in a typically Portuguese resort. We had a great time - all 7 of us.
