The accommodation

Is the result of its founder, María José Celemín, who started to rebuild what was her paternal grandparents' house when she returned from New York twenty years ago.

The reconstruction has been carried out in different phases. And what was once a dark Castilian house from the early 20th century has been transformed into a bright and cheerful place with a small Moorish-inspired garden and Nasrid fountains.

María José has found inspiration in her years living and studying in New York, where she met Deirdre Imus, founder of the Imus Ranch for children with cancer. Maria Jose has also found inspiration from Martha Stewart, who offers a lifestyle of celebration and is detail-oriented with a sense of perfection.

Beautiful Alamedas has five en-suite bedrooms on a ground floor and a loft, and a garden with olive trees, orange trees, lemon trees, palm trees, loquat trees, boxwoods, rose bushes, aromatic plants and water fountains. The interior decoration has a Provençal touch, and everything exudes the cleanliness and peace of a convent.

Beautiful Alamedas has an events room where you can hold business days or meetings, and a massage room where you can enjoy relaxing massages with the aromas of the hammam.

Beautiful Alamedas is only three minutes walk from the nature reserve ‘Riberas de Castronuño-Vega del Duero’, a small natural paradise with charming paths and picturesque corners.

In addition, María José has designed and built Al-Kauthar, another small Spanish-Arabic garden where she offers organic Arabic sweets and organic prepared meals, as well as a small eco-shop and her publications.

In addition, María José shares her visionary project with her brother Esteban, who is recovering a native grape variety, the Albillo Real. Esteban's vineyards and winery can be visited, and several of the wines are dedicated to their grandparents.

THE STORY: Beautiful Alamedas is the result of the Unique History of María José Celemín, its founder, who presented at the Teresian World Congress the essay ‘Saint Teresa in the light of the Greek feminine archetypes: Aphrodite and Hestia. A New Look’.

With this research she demonstrated that women similar to the goddess Aphrodite of the Greek Olympus have the ability to transform ordinary matter into gold, beautify it and put their passionate way on things, situations and people to transform them.

Maria José is similar to the goddess Aphrodite and has had the vision and mission to transform her grandparents' old house.

In addition, María José published the novel ‘El Dios de las Praderas Verdes’, whose main message is compassion for those who cannot defend themselves and the goodness of the human heart.
