Villa for rent 5 km from the beach

lovely house, comfortable beds, fabulous garden & eating areas. Garage door style shutters were fabulous for otherwise early risers... giving parents longer to sleep! Outdoor dining area with stone table and benches: amazing. BBQ was fab too. Mariluz keen to help in every way possible. Highly recommend.

Our family of 15 just came back from our family reunion in Galicia and decided to stay at Villa Donas due to the excellent reviews, location (proximity to beach and other points of interest in Galicia), capacity to accomodate our large group and swimming pool. The house exceeded all our expectations. The property has large grounds with beatiful gardens with multiple places for smaller groups to spend private time but also has a large table outside where the entire family could sit down for dinner. We took advantage of the large grill and wood left at house and grilled meats and fish for entire family (fresh fish is available at the nearby fish market at "Casa de Abastos" in Ramallosa). Kitchen is fully equiped. Sleeping accomodations were ideal as we were able to separate large group using the guest villa and big house. Mariluz was an excellent host. She offered the services of a cleaning lady (for a small fee) so we did not have to worry about daily chores. All in all, we would strongly recommend this house for large groups.

A wonderful house and large delightful gardens located in Donas, which is a small village, situated in the hills behind Baiona. We had a large group of friends staying with us, but with so many different rooms and spaces, the house never felt crowded and the furnishings are beautiful. The owner, Mariluz, is extremely helpful and her son, Jaime, speaks perfect English, so when one of the bathrooms leaked, we were able to explain a complex problem and it was fixed within a few Hours. Mariluz was also able to organise a chef to come to the house for a birthday dinner and to prepare a fabulous meal for the group. The house is a little hard to find at first, but there is Bar at the end of the street, and all of the taxi drivers were able to find this without any issues. Bar Gonda is very friendly and it was great to have this resouce so close to the house in this rural setting. Donas is also an easy drive down to the beach, which is only 10 minutes away. We highly recommend staying here. It was a special experience.
