It’s a cozy house located on the slopes of Aracena Castle.
Minimum stay: 2 nights.
The space
This is a carefully decorated house—beautiful, simple, and unique. Its distinctive architecture and unbeatable location make it a perfect spot for discovering Aracena on foot, with the Sierra de Aracena and Picos de Aroche Natural Park within easy reach.
Amenities and common areas
Upon entering, you step into the kitchen area, with a half-bathroom (toilet and sink) just beside it. Down a small set of stairs, you'll find a charming living room, decorated in a rustic style. It sits below ground level, with small exterior-facing windows, and includes two sofas that can be used as beds. This room highlights the traditional architecture of village homes.
Upstairs, there's a bedroom with a double bed, a charming sloped ceiling window, and a bathroom with a shower.
Other things to note
This is a rustic village house.
The kitchen includes basic cookware and utensils.
The house is thoroughly cleaned after each stay—everything is washed and scrubbed so future guests can enjoy it just the same. That said, as the home is only occupied when guests stay (mainly on weekends), small bits from the wooden beams may occasionally fall from the ceiling or walls, which is part of its rustic character.
Autumn/Winter: The house has several space heaters (as shown in the photos) to provide warmth. Keep in mind that winters in the Sierra are quite cold, and the house does not have central heating.
Spring/Summer: The house is equipped with fans.
Setting
The house is located in a privileged setting, right in the historic center of Aracena, nestled on the slopes of the castle and next to the Church of the Prioral, offering unique charm and stunning views. Its location is peaceful yet very central—perfect for exploring the town on foot without needing a car.
Just a 5-minute walk from the Town Hall and the town center, where you’ll find supermarkets, bars, restaurants, and all kinds of services.
Only a 10-minute walk from the Gruta de las Maravillas, one of the area’s main tourist attractions.
You’ll find free parking nearby, with no resident restrictions.
The house is surrounded by cobbled streets, whitewashed houses with traditional Spanish tiles, and charming Andalusian corners—ideal for immersing yourself in the relaxed, rural atmosphere of the Sierra de Aracena.
