The accommodation

The house is a wooden folly! Composed of 2 levels, with 4 double bedrooms (the beds can be split into 2 single beds), a living room, a kitchen and its bar, a dining area, 2 shower rooms, a large terrace and its great 9-seater spa (swim spa!), as well as a mezzanine which serves either as a small living room or as a sleeping area for 2 additional people (when you are 10)

Setting

The house, made entirely by Arnaud, is located in a small village of 200 inhabitants, in the countryside. The plot is served by a small road, and there is a view of the Ouche Valley, the river and the canal. When it's in season, from the terrace you can hear the deer's braying and the birds...

Activities and attractions

-The cottage is 1/2 hour from Dijon and Beaune
-Cellar visits
-On site: L'abbaye de la Bussière (gastronomic menu, and "bistro" menu)
the canal (hiking, fishing, etc.)
- the medieval village of Châteauneuf (further away: that of Flavigny sur Ozerain) 7km away
-the castle of Commarin 10km away
-the Panthier reservoir (10km away): sailing, swimming, inflatable structure (a little further, the Grosbois reservoir)
-the Barbirey sur Ouche Gardens (at the castle), 5km away
-some nice hikes, which we liked: The Caves of Roche Chèvre, (one in Barbirey sur ouche, the other in Ternant); the rock of Baume la Roche, the Roche d'Anse (on the side of Urcy), the castle of Marigny (in ruins) above Saint Victor sur Ouche.
-some nice places for lunch or dinner: the Rolle farm; the Grasihade or the Auberge Gourmande in Velars sur Ouche; the restaurant of the Golf de la Chassagne, the Cave à Pizza in Gissey, the creperie L'orée du Bois in Chateauneuf, Chez Guillaume in Vandenesse en Auxois, etc.
