Setting

Less than an hour and a half from Cordoba, the capital of Granada and Malaga, Zagrilla Alta belongs to the municipality of Priego de Cordoba and is located in the Subbetica Cordobesa region.

The splendour of the region and the landscape of Andalusian olive trees make it the ideal place to enjoy a holiday of relaxation, sun and nature.

Zagrilla Alta has, among other things, an inexhaustible spring of crystalline water that gushes out of the rock that gives the river its name, flanked by a public washhouse, still in use, where the locals wash themselves in the traditional way, preserving a social rite that is on the verge of disappearing. Its streets are irregularly laid out along the mountain range, following the Arabic model (whitewashed village with whitewashed façades, nooks and crannies, discreet exteriors, floral exuberance in the courtyards).
